Kiley Baird

Geothermal Intern

Kiley Baird is a PhD student at Heriot-Watt University, specializing in the development of geological concepts for deep sedimentary geothermal reservoirs using innovative workflows. Their research focuses on understanding how multi-scale geological heterogeneity impacts geothermal energy production and enhancing modeling workflows to optimize the balance between model detail and efficiency.

With extensive experience in subsurface reservoir characterization, Kiley Baird excels in 3D conceptual modeling and numerical simulation. They hold a B.Sc. in Environmental Sciences from Oregon State University and an M.Sc. in Geoenergy from the University of Edinburgh.

Passionate about geothermal energy, Kiley is an active member of Women in Geothermal (WING) and is currently participating in the 2024 Co-Mentorship Program.
