Islam Mitwally is a seasoned Energy Business Leader and Trusted Advisor with over 24 years of experience in upstream subsurface evaluation and reservoir characterization. He has a strong track record of driving revenue growth, leading technical and commercial teams, and identifying high-value business opportunities in the Lower 48, Middle East, North Africa, and Latin America.

His expertise includes optimizing completions designs based on subsurface data, using frac diagnostics and surveillance to enhance well economics, and leveraging AI and machine learning for real-time decision-making to prevent casing deformation and mitigate Fracture-Driven Interactions (FDIs).

Islam holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Alexandria and is an active member of SPE, SPWLA, AAPG, and SEG. He has co-authored five technical papers on optimizing unconventional reservoir completions using downhole lateral data.
