Ivan Chikichev, PhD

Dr. Ivan Chikichev brings over 15 years of geophysical expertise to Teverra as the Geophysics Lead. His extensive experience in the Oil and Gas industry encompasses diverse areas such as geophysical research, production seismic data processing, velocity model building, imaging, and inversion. Dr. Chikichev has successfully executed numerous commercial 2D/3D/4D projects both in the US and internationally, covering a broad spectrum of geological environments.  Dr. Chikichev holds a BSc in Mechanics, an MSc in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science and a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Minnesota.  Dr. Chikichev's contributions to the field are evident through his prolific publication record, with over 20 papers, and his engagement in professional conferences and workshops as an invited speaker. Additionally, Dr. Chikichev holds two patents, reflecting his innovative approach to problem-solving.  At Teverra, Dr. Chikichev is at the forefront of advancing geophysical methods and data to develop next-generation technologies for monitoring of  Carbon Capture and Storage. His dedication to pushing the boundaries of geophysical innovation underscores his commitment to addressing the challenges of environmental sustainability in the energy sector.
