On Friday, August 22, Teverra’s Founder and CEO, Dr. Hamed Soroush, had the honor of joining the University of Georgia’s Department of Geology to share his expertise with students and faculty.

The day’s program offered a variety of opportunities for connection and exchange, including an informal Q&A session with students over lunch, collaborative discussions with faculty, and a featured colloquium talk titled “Innovating the Subsurface: Advancing Geothermal Energy and Thermal Storage for a Low-Carbon Future.”

In his talk, Dr. Soroush drew on his extensive experience in subsurface energy to explore the future of geothermal and thermal energy storage technologies, highlighting their role in the global energy transition. The event sparked thoughtful conversations and reinforced the importance of bridging academia and industry to prepare the next generation of geoscientists.

“At Teverra, we are deeply committed to supporting and inspiring young professionals,” said Dr. Soroush. “Opportunities like this underscore the value of building strong partnerships between academia and industry to drive innovation forward.”

Teverra extends its sincere thanks to Dr. Adam Milewski and Dr. Charlotte Garing for their generous invitation and thoughtful organization of this event.
