Dr. Stefania Mitova is a Lead Data Scientist at Teverra, providing the company with machine learning and modeling support. She has spent her career exploring the intersection of data science and clean energy. Stefania enjoys using cutting-edge programming and AI tools for improving model accuracy, team productivity and generally enhancing project efficiency. Specifically, she has used machine learning, systems engineering, and various geospatial modeling methods to solve problems related to sustainable energy production and consumption. Examples of models she has built include deep neural networks, random forests, XGBoost models, CNN models, agent-based models, system dynamics, optimization models, etc. Domain areas of expertise, on the other hand, include sustainable buildings as well as sustainable transportation.
