Dallas, TX | April 5-6, 2026 — TEVERRA recently participated as a sponsor of the Better Buildings: Data Centers Seminar hosted by the Green Building Initiative (GBI), an event focused on addressing the growing sustainability and infrastructure challenges facing the rapidly expanding data center industry.
The seminar brought together data center owners, operators, engineers, designers, and energy professionals to discuss practical strategies for improving operational efficiency, resiliency, and long-term sustainability across digital infrastructure systems.
Representing TEVERRA at the event were Randal Wichuk, CEO, and Emily Bowers, Legislative Strategist, who engaged with industry leaders and stakeholders on the role of geothermal and subsurface energy solutions in the future of data center development.
As global demand for cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and digital services continues to accelerate, conversations throughout the seminar focused heavily on energy optimization, cooling efficiency, water management, decarbonization, and resilient infrastructure planning. Industry participants explored how emerging technologies and alternative energy systems can support the next generation of high-performance data centers.
During the event, TEVERRA highlighted the growing importance of geothermal systems and thermal energy storage technologies in helping data centers improve efficiency while reducing operational costs and environmental impact. Discussions emphasized how subsurface solutions can contribute to more reliable cooling systems, lower energy waste, and long-term sustainability objectives.
The seminar also reinforced the increasing collaboration between the energy sector and digital infrastructure industries as organizations search for scalable and resilient solutions capable of meeting rising power and cooling demands.
TEVERRA appreciated the opportunity to support and participate in the event alongside industry partners and sustainability leaders. The discussions at the Better Buildings Data Centers Seminar reflected the growing momentum behind innovative energy approaches that can help shape a more efficient and sustainable future for data center infrastructure.
