TEVERRA is pleased to announce its participation in the upcoming World Geothermal Congress 2026 (WGC2026) in Calgary, Canada, where the company will contribute through technical education, industry engagement, and community support initiatives.

As part of the congress pre-conference program, Dr. Hamed Soroush, Founder and President of TEVERRA, will lead a specialized course titled:

“Geothermal Field Development Geomechanics”

The course will focus on the practical application of geomechanics in geothermal development and explore how subsurface understanding directly impacts drilling performance, stimulation effectiveness, reservoir behavior, and long-term project success.

Designed around practical workflows and field experience, the training will cover:

  • Geomechanical model development and calibration

  • Wellbore stability analysis

  • Stimulation strategies for Enhanced Geothermal Systems (EGS)

  • Reservoir management and performance evaluation

  • Induced seismicity mitigation

  • Thermal and operational risk management

  • Integration of geomechanics into geothermal drilling and development workflows

The course will emphasize the growing importance of geomechanics in geothermal exploration, drilling, stimulation, and production planning as geothermal development continues expanding globally. Discussions will highlight how improved subsurface understanding can support better technical decision-making, reduce project risk, and enhance long-term project economics.

In addition to technical programming, TEVERRA will also support community engagement activities during WGC2026 through sponsorship of the Women in Geothermal (WING) Canada Battle of the Bands event. Organized by Women in Geothermal Canada, the event brings together members of the geothermal and energy communities for networking, collaboration, and industry connection.

TEVERRA is proud to participate alongside leading organizations across the geothermal and energy sectors supporting innovation and collaboration within the geothermal sector.

WGC2026 is expected to bring together geothermal professionals, researchers, developers, policymakers, investors, and service providers from around the world to discuss advancements in geothermal technology and the future of sustainable energy systems.

TEVERRA looks forward to contributing to the event through technical knowledge sharing, industry collaboration, and continued support for the growth of geothermal energy and subsurface innovation worldwide.
