Women in Geothermal (WING) is a global network that aims to promote the education, professional development, and advancement of women in the geothermal community. WING ignites the passion and courage that will make the geothermal community a global model for equality, is actively breaking down barriers so that everyone in the geothermal sector can realize their full potential, and aims to one day become redundant, where no group needs to advocate for gender equality. It is the single-largest geothermal organization in the world with over 3000 members from more than 80 countries as of July 2023. WING is the only organization focused on achieving gender equality in the geothermal community.
To celebrate the achievements and impact of 10-years of WING, a webinar series is being hosted in each respective region with insightful and though-provoking panel discussions on hot topics!
The United States and Canada are hosting their WING 10-Year Anniversary Celebration on December 14th at 10-11:30 AM PST.
Be sure to catch Teverra's participation in this special event! Dr. Joseph Batir is participating in the event as a moderator for the Gender Equality panel and will be leading intriguing discussion on an important topic. Jerjes Porlles of Teverra is the 2023 WING Empowerment Award recipient and will be speaking about what empowerment means and how to empower others on the Empowerment panel.
